  • Why did you set up Zhigong Online?

    The idea of building this website with all the films came into existence to address the need for greater support for the community of the Zhigong Institute Europe. The Zhigong Institute has existed since 2000. Since then, the profound knowledge of Zhineng Qigong Science has been shared with the community with the great support of Chinese Teachers and. The Zhigong Institute organizes Teacher Training courses, Masterclasses, trips and other special events to make the knowledge of Zhineng Qigong Science accessible to students all over the world. The workshops are known for their well-structured contents and good organization. In recent years, the Zhigong Institute has recorded workshops with Teachera and Masters from China and Europe. Through the films, the idea to create an international platform came up. This is why we have founded Zhigong Online.

  • Do I need to have a certain level to subscribe?

    You are a beginner? This is the place to start! You are an advanced Zhineng Qigong student? This is the place to improve your skills and know-how! Here you will find the motivation and inspiration for the next step. This is an amazing opportunity to learn more about this wonderful self-healing art, here and today.

  • How does the site work?

    This site is full of online Zhineng Qigong videos, tutorials, tips and more. Once you have a subscription, hundreds of Zhineng Qigong videos will be available to you — anytime, anywhere. You will be able to mark "favorite" videos, making it easier to find them in the future, and you will also be able to leave comments and feedback. You can also follow your own teacher (YTO - Your Teacher Only). In short, you will have a Zhineng Qigong studio at your beck and call.

    Besides searchable videos at, you will also find programs. A program is a series of classes made around one topic. All of our programs are designed with a specific purpose in mind. Some programs are a series of videos filmed during a workshop. Some films are recorded especially for this website with the purpose of showing you single exercises and/or sharing knowledge about methods and theories of Zhineng Qigong Science.

  • How much does it cost?

    There are two possible subscriptions. The ‘MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP’ gives you access to all of the contents. This is a monthly subscription for 9.99 euro per month. If you only want to follow 1 teacher, you can subscribe for the ‘TEACHER MEMBERSHIP’. This gives you access to all the content of your favorite teacher.

  • How do I register?

    You can register by simply clicking on the ‘JOIN US' button in the navigation and follow the steps.

  • Can I be part of the Teacher Team of Zhigong Online? Yes, you can.

    We are looking for quality content from Zhineng Qigong teachers/masters around the world. The content may also have a link to other topics, e.g. meditation, anatomy, coaching, personal development, nutrition, etc. – as long as the content is linked to the knowledge of Zhineng Qigong Science.   • I'm a beginner, what do I need to know?

    Welcome to your first encounter with Zhineng Qigong. There are some basic recommendations before you start practicing Zhineng Qigong: Be aware of your current health condition and adapt all the exercises to it. If you have a doubt about doing any exercise because of your health, please contact us before you start.

  • What are the benefits of practicing Zhineng Qigong?

    Zhineng Qigong has many physical benefits:

    • - It can calm down your mind
    • - it can make your body more flexible
    • - it can improve the Qi flow in your meridian system
    • - it activates circulatory and cardiac health
    • - it can improve your posture
    • - it improves your body and mind awareness
    • - it may teach you how to be present and open to all situations in your life.
  • I want to lose weight. Can Zhineng Qigong help me?

    Zhineng Qigong helps to bring the body back into balance. When body and mind are balanced and positive, you might eat more ‘balanced’ (healthy) food and that will affect your weight. Your awareness for food will change in a natural way.

  • I have a medical problem. Can I still do Zhineng Qigong?

    If you have medical issues you are not sure about, consult your doctor. We do not recommend that you attempt any of these Zhineng Qigong exercises without suitable experience and supervision. We do not offer medical advice. You should consult a medical practitioner before attempting any exercise and particularly Zhineng Qigong, to ensure that you do not injure yourself. This is particularly important if you are overweight, pregnant, nursing, regularly taking medications, or have any existing medical conditions.

  • How often and for how long should I practice Zhineng Qigong?

    Qi means ‘life energy.’ Gong means discipline, practice. If you want to have good results, we recommend to you to practice every day for at least 15 minutes. If you want better results practice 30 minutes or more per day.

    Keep in mind that even if you skip one of more days: Acknowledge yourself for the moments you take the time to practice instead of blaming yourself for the moments you did not.

  • What is a ‘gong’

    In the Zhigong Qigong we talk about a gong when you practiced one exercise 100 days in a row. Within 100 days nearly all cells in our body regenerate. We have the chance to refresh the information of body and mind. To support you daily practice we developed a Gong sheet, you can download here.

  • How do I become a subscriber?

    First, register to create an account. Log in with Facebook, Google or fill in the form; you will be given the opportunity to become a subscriber at the end of the sign-up process. If you are already a member, sign in, go to your account settings and click "subscribe now."

  • How do I pay in a secure way?

    All our transactions are secure and processed by Adyen Payment Services. This is a certified and globally operating payment provider, through which you can use several (inter)national payment systems. For information see We do not store your payment details on our servers.

    You can pay online in various ways:

    In the Netherlands with Ideal (via bank accounts), or with a Visacard or MasterCard (credit cards); in all other countries with a local payment method, but also with a Visa card or MasterCard (credit cards).

    You need to provide some details in relation to the renewal payment, which is done via “automatic collection” or direct debit. Please see our website for detailed payment instructions.

    Visa uses "Verified by Visa" for extra security when paying online. MasterCard uses "MasterCard Securecode" for added protection. Make sure your card is enabled for E-Commerce transactions. Also, ensure your card has not expired, or is not expiring soon.

    Most issuers (Visa, MasterCard) do not automatically allow recurring payments with prepaid credit cards. Although it is sometimes possible to pay for the first month of a subscription, the first recurring payment will subsequently fail.

  • I forgot my password

  • What does it cost and how do I pay?

    Your subscription is automatically renewed each month. You are automatically rebilled a few days before the end of every subscription period. In other words, if you sign up for a monthly subscription, a charge will automatically be placed on your credit card or bank account or "collection" just before the end of your current subscription period.

  • How can I cancel my subscription?

    You can cancel your subscription via the website. It is easy. Just klick on the button ‘Cancel account’ and follow the steps. Your subscription will still be active and fully functional until the last day of your current subscription period, but please note that you are automatically rebilled about 24 hours before the end of every subscription period. So, don't wait until the last day to cancel your subscription.

  • My monthly subscription wasn't renewed.

    If your monthly subscription wasn't renewed automatically at the end of the month, we most likely couldn't debit your credit card or in the Netherlands the "automatic collection" failed. To get immediate access to the videos again, just log in to your account and subscribe again. All your favorite videos and Downloads will still be there.

  • I'm having trouble logging in

    Please make sure you are using the same email address you used when you registered. If you have forgotten your password, follow this link and we will email you a link for resetting your password. Quitting and restarting your browser, or restarting your computer, usually takes care of most logging-in issues. If this does not do the trick, delete the cookies and website data from your browser. See below the Question ‘Clearing website data’ below for how to do this.

  • Quick fixes
    1. Please make sure you have updated your browser.
    2. Clear your website data and restart your browser. See below the Question ‘Clearing website data’, how to do this.
    3. Do you use Firefox? This browser has compatibility issues with HTML5 (our video player). Please select the flash option on the lower left hand side of the video player and this should solve the problem. Or better yet change your browser. Our website works best in Chrome or Safari.
    4. Restart your modem or router - Check if your anti-virus or Adblock Plus software is interfering with your video streaming.
  • Internet speed

    If your Internet connection is slow, try using the lower quality video setting. You can find the video quality button in the lower right hand corner of the video (cog icon).

    You have 3 options:

    1. 720P HQ (highest quality for fast Internet speeds)
    2. 720P (recommended setting)
    3. 360P (for slow/mobile Internet, this will give you lower quality video, but it may help with streaming)
  • Clearing website data

    In many occasions, it helps to delete your cookies and browse data.


    1. Go to Preferences (chrome://settings/)
    2. Go to History and click Clear browsing data
    3. Select 'delete cookies and other site and plug-in data'
    4. Click 'clear browsing data' in the lower right corner


    1. Go to History > Clear recent History
    2. De-select browsing & download history, select everything else
    3. Click 'clear now' Safari - Go to Safari > Reset


    1. Select 'remove all website data' and click 'reset' Internet Explorer
    2. Click 'Tools' - Select 'Delete Browsing History'
    3. Deselect 'Preserve Favorites website data'
    4. Select 'Temporary Internet files and Cookies' - Click Delete

  • Can I watch the videos on my tablet or mobile phone?

    Yes, you can. Our website has a responsive design, and you can view the videos on your iPad, Android Tablet, iPhone or Android phone. Viewing video on a mobile device requires a fast internet connection, try using Wi-Fi if you can. We recommend using the Chrome browser on your Android tablet or phone.
